What is WIC?

The WIC program was created to help low income pregnant people and children up to age 5 access the food, nutrition, and social supports crucial for healthy development. WIC provides families with:

  • Food package that could include baby formula, baby food, milk, juice, cereal, eggs, whole grains - and more!

  • $26-$52 in a cash value benefit (CVB) for fresh fruits + veggies each month

  • Nutrition and lactation counseling in multiple languages

  • Referrals to SNAP, Medicaid, and other resources our families need to thrive
